My name is Ouissal Chairi. I am a member of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB) and the founder of Claramente Legal.
I founded Claramente Legal with a very specific goal in mind: to provide legal advice that is easy to understand, accessible, and useful. I believe that people can make better decisions when they understand their legal situation, the options available to them, and the consequences of each alternative.
I work with individuals, families, self-employed professionals, and other professionals, both online and in person in Barcelona. In-person sessions are by appointment only at Carrer de Balmes, 188, in Sant Gervasi-Galvany.
My Approach to Work
My job isn't just about explaining what a standard says. Before recommending a course of action, I need to understand the context, review the relevant information, and assess what risks exist.
During the consultation, I'd like you to answer three questions:
- What is my legal status?
- What are my options?
- What should I do next?
I am transparent about fees, timelines, and the scope of each service. If a consultation is sufficient, I’ll let you know. If the matter requires further action, I’ll explain what steps I believe are appropriate, and you’ll receive a quote before we proceed.
The online service allows us to address inquiries from anywhere. For those who prefer an in-person meeting, Claramente Legal offers appointments in Barcelona.
Education and Experience
I have a law degree from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and completed the Master’s Program in Legal Practice at the University of Barcelona (UB).
I am a member of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB), membership number 49,141, and I have specialized training in civil law.
Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals, families, self-employed professionals, and other professionals on a wide range of issues. That experience has reinforced my understanding of the profession: preventing a problem, reviewing a decision in a timely manner, or formulating a strategy correctly can be just as important as taking action once a conflict has already arisen.
Legal Negotiation: Seeking a Solution Before Going to Trial
Not all disputes need to end up in court.
One of the strengths of my approach to the practice of law is legal negotiation: analyzing each party’s position, identifying the real points of leverage, and devising a strategy that allows us to try to achieve the outcome we seek before initiating legal proceedings.
In numerous cases, I have succeeded in getting the other party to change its position, fulfill an obligation, agree to compensation, or reach a settlement through formal demands, discussions, and direct negotiations between attorneys.
This does not mean giving up on legal action. On the contrary: negotiating from a legally sound position requires knowing what would happen if the matter ended up in court. That possibility is precisely one of the tools that enable effective negotiation.
Strategy, Persuasion, and Negotiation Skills
While pursuing the Master’s Degree in Legal Practice at the University of Barcelona, I was part of one of the UB teams that won the 2024 edition of the Intercollegiate Moot Court Competition, organized in collaboration with the ICAB, the UB, the UAB, and the UPF-BSM. In this competition, particular emphasis is placed on legal strategy, public speaking, cross-examination techniques, and the ability to defend a position.

Today, I apply those skills both inside and outside the courtroom: listening, anticipating the opposing side's position, constructing sound legal arguments, and knowing when to insist, when to propose an alternative, and when it is ultimately necessary to go to court.
Real-life case: A negotiated departure from a company
J.G. — identity and identifying information protected by professional confidentiality.
After experiencing several issues with her employer, the client came to the firm to explore her various options. The strategy initially focused on negotiation, avoiding a hasty legal claim.
The discussions led to a resolution that included substantial financial compensation and made the employee eligible for unemployment benefits.
For matters specifically related to employment, the case was coordinated with an attorney specializing in labor law. The goal was not to initiate proceedings just for the sake of it, but to secure a favorable outcome for the client.
Negotiating is also a way of practicing law
This approach can be applied to real estate disputes, sales transactions, leases, financial claims, breaches of contract, disputes between individuals, and many other matters.
When a case requires specific knowledge from another area of law, I work in coordination with specialized professionals, maintaining a common strategy and directly overseeing the matter.

Why Claramente Legal
Because legal language shouldn't prevent you from understanding a decision that affects your life, your family, your home, or your assets.
My commitment is to provide you with a clear and realistic assessment, explain what I can do for you, and avoid making promises that are not based on legal work.
If you need guidance, you can book an online or in-person consultation in Barcelona and explain your situation to me directly.
